Getting Access

  1. Create a free Splunk account
  2. Download Splunk Enterprise free trial (which will be valid for 60 days from the time of install).
  3. Request for a Developer License through the developer program and apply the Developer License to your free trial, where the agreement changes to developer use cases (Developer License will be valid for 6 months)

    Note: If you already have a Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud License (either free trial or non-free trial version), you can just simply request for a Developer License through the Splunk Developer Program and apply the Developer License to your Splunk instance.

 

Tools and Technologies

Participants are encouraged to leverage one or more of the following Splunk AI capabilities:

  • AI for Splunk Apps - Build agentic workflows inside Splunk apps using the Python SDK
  • Splunk MCP Server - Connect AI agents securely to Splunk data using the Model Context Protocol
    OAuth support is currently in Controlled Availability (not yet GA) — use token-based authentication to get started today.
  • Splunk AI Assistant - Use natural language to generate and edit SPL queries
  • Splunk AI Toolkit - Build custom AI models with your data for actionable insights
    • Splunk Hosted Models - Use Foundation AI Security Model and Cisco Deep Time Series Model
